Shree padre is active on social media. Especially
Face book and whats app. Where he often
posts content on rain water harvesting (RWH) this summer. when Padre village in Kasargod Dist of
Kerala. About 65 KM from Manglore that
has always been water rich. Started feeling the water crises, locals joined
hands to conserve water. Gradually a
whats app group “Neera nemmdaiyatta Padre” ( to wards water security) was formed.

Told On realizing this group was interested to Knowing more about various techniques and
practices of RWH. I decided to share short messages so that the tempo is
maintained and water is not only thought of during the summer. I thus launched “Neeridare Nale (There is a tomorrow only if
there is Water.) Serious, that is released every day @ 5 am, Gradually, members
started sharing the information capsule to other groups. And I realized that
people were really interested. I do shape pictures too. I asked a few admins of
various groups, if I could share this information capsule in the group every
day and they readily agreed . This has become the new “Suprabhatha” to many
progressive farmers of the District. The feed back coupled with Queries has
been positive and amazing “ he said.
Currently, the “ Neereiddare Nale “ Serious is reaching out to nearly
more than 50 what’s up groups. Shree padre personally Uploads this broadcast to
at least six groups that have more than 200 members, and there are few members
who without fail for word it to other groups.
“ The broadcast is is an extempore not extending to more than minutes.
It is about success stories from people who have adopted unique techniques of
RWH, unsung heroes and rainwater harvesting practices from across India that I
have documented over the years. The capsule also touches on practices as well
as Warnings “.
The first 100 episodes have
been uploaded on sound cloud – an online audio distribution platform and music
sharing website. Manipal Radio has started broadcasting this capsule everyday.
